This scarf was made from Sirdar Indie (shade Navajo) I love how it changes colour as you knit, Stu has decided to take this scarf off me because I wasn't too keen on these certain colours as I started knitting, although they do kind of remind me of the sweets Skittles. I will be knitting myself one in another shade as there are so many other beautiful colours in the range.

Come Dine With Me Cakes
One member of our knitting group was on the TV program Come Dine With Me and they wanted to film the group for a minute at the beginning of the program, so we made some specially themed cakes for the occasion. I used gummy hamburgers and gummy egg and chips on green butter cream icing for decoration. The program doesn't air until next year and I hope they don't mock us too much if the end up putting us on the show

Owl mittens
These mittens were made from Rico design Essentials Soft Merino, this is my new favourite yarn as it's 100% merino wool and it's not very expensive. It's lovely and soft and a beautiful deep brown colour. I made the owl motif from stitching together some felt and some material I had lying around, I didn't realise how simple it was to stitch this together and will probably start using this technique a lot more often on my knitted designs. On the other mitten is the letter 'A' as it's the initial of the person who I am giving these to. I have some mittens to make for another for another friends birthday in the new year but reckon I'm gonna take a break from mittens for a short while
