Birds Nests
These are some cornflake cakes I made. I used Mini Eggs (my favourite) to make them look like birds nests and they were pretty tasty

Starry Sky
I am currently in the middle of making a knitted patchwork blanket inspired by the night sky. So far I have only used deep purples, navy blues and black to achieve the look of the sky at night, I have used different brands and sizes of wool in order to achieve different textures so not only will it hopefully look good it will feel good too.
They all measure approximately 6" x 6" and I still have to knit about another 24. Then I will have to sew each square together and sew on the crescent moon and stars. I plan to make them from metallic silver material and stuff them so they are padded away from the blanket.
It's been a lot of work so far and I still have a long way to go but this is the first project I have been really involved in since I started knitting a few months ago.
Here's a picture of my progress so far:

These are some of the things that have inspired me to make a blanket based on the night sky:

I will post a picture of the blanket when it is completely finished. This project is perfect if I need to put it down for a while and pick it up at later date, but I have been so excited I have been racing through
